LightWave - How to Surrender an eBL to a shipping company
The WaveBL platform has many features that make it easy for you to manage all your electronic trade documents. WaveBL’s LightWave allows you to manage your eBLs directly from your email inbox without the need to log into the WaveBL platform. You can send, amend, or surrender your eBLs with just one click. To enjoy the LightWave feature, the admin must add LightWave notifications to you as the user via the Manage user page.
In this article, we will show you how you can sign and authorize the surrender of an eBL to the carrier.
As the Consignee, you receive a notification by email that you have a new eBL in your WaveBL inbox.
Click on the green View in LightWave button.
Please note that due to security levels, the token will only be active for a few minutes.
If you get the warning This link has expired, click on Send me another link. You will receive a new email with an active link.
Once you click on the valid View in LightWave, the preview of the Bill of Lading opens on the right, with important details on the left of your screen. You can see that you are the consignee and the Possessor of the eBL.
If needed, you can download a copy by clicking on the download icon.
You can also change the layout language.
On top of the eBL on the right, click on Signatures and Info.
On the left, you can choose Sign and Authorize Surrender or Return to Shipper. Click on Sign and Authorize Surrender.
In the popup, confirm that you want to surrender the eBL by clicking on OK.
Once completed, you will see that the action was successful.
