How to connect your business partner (BP)

This article explains how to connect with your business partner. To start receiving or sending eBLs, participating parties must be connected to the WaveBL platform. Check the WaveBL global network if your business partner has a WaveBL account. If he doesn't appear, send him an invitation to join.

To add a business partner to your network, search the Global Contacts list for companies already subscribed to the WaveBL platform. To add a company, follow these steps:  

  1. Click ‘Global Contacts’ under Network on the left sidebar, type the company name of the business partner you want to add in the search field, and click Search

  1. The companies that match your search result will be listed. Review the search results.

  1. Click on the business unit name to open a window with the full details. Review the details of the company name and click Connect at the bottom right.

  1. A confirmation message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, and this Business Unit will be removed from the search results and added to your contact list, making it immediately available for use. An invitation will also be sent to the invitee via email and under Manage Invitations in the app.

5. If your search doesn’t return results, click the Send Invitation on the left sidebar to invite the business partner. Fill in the details in the ‘Invite external business partner’ pop-up window,  and click ’Send Invitation’.

6. A confirmation message will appear, to confirm sending the invitation. You can choose to send another invitation or click Done.

7. You can view the status of the invitation in the ‘Manage Invitations’ list, under Network on the left sidebar.
